“They get to experience different tracks, different facilities, and you know, some drivers shine on big tracks, some like the small tracks.
That travel also keeps things fresh, as drivers aren’t stuck on a single dirt-track. It’s kind of a special event when we show up to their track,” Ballenger said. “It’s not the same show every week at the same track every week. With the series traveling across four states, the MSTS carries unique appeal. Obviously, it’s working,” Ballenger said.

Rounding out the top ten finishers were McCarl, Lambertz, Harrisburg, SD driver Dusty Ballenger, Derrik Lusk from nearby Jackson and Kevin Flowers from Hartford, SD.Four years later, the tour now features nearly 25 races per year, with anywhere from 15 to 40 drivers competing each week. Lee Grosz sped on to victory over Bickett, Gharst, Prochaska and 14th starter Dylan Peterson from Sioux Falls. Prochaska got high in turn 3 on lap 19 and both Bickett and fifth starter Kaley Gharst from Decatur, IL ducked under him.
